Safe by default.
You stay in control.
Nothing about your child goes public without instructor review and your consent. Here’s exactly how that works, in plain English.
1. A managed access ladder
- Explorers (about 8–11). Never get a login. The instructor runs every tool while your child directs out loud.
- Builders (about 12–15). Work hands-on in approved tools under a Futureproof or parent-managed account. A studio login exists only if you turn it on — with a nickname, never their email.
- Innovators (about 16–18). Use their own tools, still from our approved list, with you in control of their login and their public profile.
There’s no open-ended AI chat, no messaging between students, and instructors talk to you — never privately to your child.
2. Four consents, all off to start
- Public portfolio. Whether instructor-approved work can appear on their profile page.
- YouTube demo reel. Whether their final reel can be embedded and reposted to the Futureproof channel.
- Session recording. Whether live sessions can be recorded. Recordings stay private to you and the instructor.
- Marketing use. Whether we may feature approved work in our own materials.
You can change any of them in your parent portal at any time.
3. You choose how they’re identified
- Anonymous. A handle and an abstract pattern. No name, no photo.
- First name + AI avatar. Their first name and an AI-made avatar — never a real photo.
- Full showcase. First name, a real photo and their demo reel. Needs your explicit confirmation, and isn’t available for Explorers.
We never show last names, schools, locations, contact details or ages. Profiles have no comments, likes, follows or messages.
4. Review before anything is published
Every piece goes draft → with instructor → approved → live. Only Futureproof instructors approve, and only after checking for last names, school names, locations, other people’s faces and contact details. Publishing also needs your public portfolio consent.
5. One-click takedown
A big “Take down profile now” button in your portal hides the profile and every piece instantly. Turning off public portfolio or YouTube consent does the same.
6. Full deletion on request
Ask from your portal and we permanently delete your child’s pieces, consents, enrollments and records. We only hold the minimum to begin with: first name, age band and how they access tools.
7. How to report a concern
Use “Report a concern” in your parent portal — it goes straight to our team and you’ll see our response there. Students can tell a grown-up from their studio too. If a child is in immediate danger, call your local emergency services first.

Neither should their potential.
